Organisation: vegetablesWA
Grower Group R&D Grant amount: $150,000

vegetablesWA believes the Western Australian vegetable sector has the potential to double its value.

It intends to use its grant to undertake research with Coriolis Research to significantly grow vegetable exports by analysing demand for horticultural products from key export markets.

The project will identify products grown in countries which have a similar climate to WA.

Using a market-led approach, vegetablesWA aims to identify list of vegetables in high demand in emerging target markets.

The $17.4 million Grower Group R&D Grants Program is a major component of the Agricultural Sciences R&D Fund managed by DAFWA.
