Improving market intelligence to grow premium wine exports
Organisation: Wines of WA
Grower Group R&D Grant amount: $500,000

There is significant opportunity for Western Australia wine companies to grow wine exports, particularly in the fine wine market.

Wines of WA will use its grant to develop an in-depth understanding of key export markets and identify the best pathways to premium consumers for WA wines.

The project will build on previous market research, and focus on the ‘super-premium’, ‘ultra-premium’ and ‘icon wines’ market characteristics and requirements.

The $17.4 million Grower Group R&D Grants Program is a major component of the Agricultural Sciences R&D Fund managed by DAFWA.
