putting on a pound tag.JPG

A sheep that has been nrought onto a property is being tagged with a pink tag with the new owner's PIC in its earmark ear.
Sheep introduced onto a new owner's property need to be identified with a pink NLIS tag that has either the owner's brand or PIC printed on it. The pink tag goes in the same ear as the earmark. If the tag has a PIC on it, the sheep will need to be tagged again when it moves to another property with a different PIC, even if it is owned by the same person. Printing your registered brand on your tags means that re-tagging is usually only neccessary with a change in ownership.
