Reportable animal diseases - Western Australia

The Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act 2007 requires that certain diseases must be reported to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) if they are known or suspected to be present in Western Australia. These diseases are included within the WA reportable animal diseases list.

If you  suspect a reportable disease is or may be present in animals, contact your:
- nearest DPIRD field veterinary officer
- the DPIRD duty pathologist on +61 0(8) 9368 3351 or
- after hours the Emergency Animal Disease hotline on 1800 675 888.
