There may be restrictions for importing, keeping or breeding of some species of birds in Western Australia (WA).

However, there are currently no published import health requirements for bringing commercial poultry or other birds into WA.

Some species of bird may be subject to import, keeping or breeding restrictions.

Quarantine WA

Quarantine WA is responsible for checking all stock imported into Western Australia (WA) to ensure they meet the published import conditions.

Quarantine WA actively protects Western Australia's agriculture, environment and lifestyle by conducting inspections for quarantine risk material at entry points for private travellers and commercial clients importing from interstate or overseas.
