- organo-phosphates: diazinon (for example, Eureka Gold)

- macrocyclic lactone (for example, Maverick).
Dips (shower or plunge) provided that sheep are thoroughly wetted
- organo-phosphates: temephos (for example, Assassin or Wham)
- spinosyns (for example, Extinosad)
- magnesium flurosilicate (for example, Flockmaster II).
Dips (cage) provided that sheep are thoroughly wetted
- diazinon by cage immersion dipping (permit number - Per 12555).
Products not likely to achieve eradication
Long wool treatments (backliners and hand jet options)
- spinosyns (for example, Extinosad)
- ivermectin (for example, Paramax, Coopers blowfly and lice jetting fluid, Zinjet).
Chemical groups where resistance by lice is common
- synthetic pyrethroids (SPs)
- insect growth regulators (IGRs).
