Field guide and disease identification app.

The MyPestGuide family of free support tools includes a dedicated Reporter App plus three (3) pest identification field guides (iOS Apple and Android), which operate alongside the community website. MyPestGuide helps bring people together who have similar pest problems in their local area creating a collaborative network.

The information gathered by MyPestGuide users strengthen and support Australia’s access to existing or new overseas trade markets by assisting the department in maintaining Australia’s pest-free status and inferring our freedom from exotic pests.  So, please help support farm biosecurity, the environment and our economy by becoming a participant in the new pest monitoring and surveillance community.  Report a pest today!

The MyPestGuide Diseases field guide works in conjunction with MyPestGuide Reporter.  Use it to identify diseases of plant parts or observable signs of damage of grain crops across Western Australia.

MyPestGuide Diseases is a field guide and identification app that lets grain growers, farmers, agronomists and industry reps easily and quickly identify diseases of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and coarse grain crops, as well as stored grain and biosecurity diseases in Australia. 

The MyPestGuide Diseases field guide and identification app includes images and control information to help manage diseases but also works alongside the MyPestGuide Reporter app when further identification or advice is needed.  Your reports are received by experts at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) who identify the pest, reply back to your device and map it online so everyone can learn about disease problems.

By using the MyPestGuide Diseases field guide and Reporter App you are supporting your local agricultural community, defending Australia’s grains industry and protecting the natural environment from exotic diseases of grain.

Who we are

The MyPestGuide family of support tools was created and designed by Rob Emery and Darryl Hardie (DAFWA) with support from the MyPestGuide Team.  Start-up funding was provided by COGGO. Current funds are provided by Royalties for Regions.

The application coding is by ngperceptive.
