My role in the department

Bowen joined DPIRD Northam’s weed science team as a Research Scientist in February 2022 to investigate the impact of soil amelioration on weed ecology and control. He is achieving this by researching the impact of multiple soil amelioration methods on a number of soil constraints. He is also analysing the efficacy of different pre-emergent herbicides after different amelioration practices and developing a better weed management strategy for WA farmers.
