In partnership with Regional Development Australia Great Southern, DPIRD invites you to an industry forum, supporting the growth of premium and value-add food and beverage businesses in Western Australia’s Great Southern region.
Agriculture is the economic powerhouse of the Great Southern, however the majority of food produced in the region is exported in its raw form. Value-adding to agrifood products that are in high demand in markets outside the region will help create jobs and boost the region’s economic development.
This event will provide an opportunity for premium agrifood producers, processors, industry leaders, and local and state government, to collaborate and identify priorities to drive the region’s future growth.
The event program will include:
- a snapshot of premium food and beverage production in our region
- new and innovative opportunities to drive growth in the premium and value-add food and beverage industry
- a facilitated workshop to discuss regional premium food and beverage opportunities
- information about the department’s new Food Industry Innovation ‘Expert for a Day’ business support initiative.
