Wagin Woolorama

A family friendly regional agricultural show with over 350 commercial exhibitors; over 1000 sheep, cattle, horses and chooks in competition; working sheep dogs; arts and crafts; education options; woolhandling and shearing competitions; current and future rural industry products and services and so much more.

The DAFWA shed will provide the latest information about livestock, grains, biosecurity and mobile application technology to support the agriculture and food sector in this state.

Representatives from DAFWA’s Sheep Industry Business Innovation (SIBI) project will demonstrate new on-farm technology which includes a walk over weigh platform, an unmanned aerial vehicle and a remote camera for monitoring tanks and troughs.

There will be a great opportunity to find out more about Australian Sheep Breeding Values (ASBVs) and how to participate in RamSelect workshops.

Representatives of DAFWA’s sheep National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) helpdesk will also be available to assist sheep owners to record movements of their sheep on the NLIS database.

The DAFWA Shed is located at Site 626 on Kitchener Street.
