Remarks

  • Apply as cut-stump treatment
  • Physical control:
    • Only removal and destruction of fruits suggested
    • Grubbing or hand removal usually spreads the plants because they break into fragments as roots revegetate
  • Results from Hawaii suggest basal bark with a ‘thin line’ of undiluted triclopyr

Remarks

  • Apply as foliar spray. Two applications/year during active growth.
  • A mixture of 500mL in 10L water can be used as a cut stump treatment. To apply this, cut the stem no higher than 10cm from the ground, and immediately treat the stump and let the solution run down the stem.
