Delivering Post Entry Plant Quarantine (PEPQ) for material entering Australia is the role of the Commonwealth Government through the Department of Agriculture Water and the Environment (DAWE).
DPIRD is temporarily closing its PEPQ facility at South Perth to all seed, high and medium risk nursery stock entering Australia.
All high risk nursery stock including Vitis (grapevines) must be imported through the DAWE PEPQ facility in Mickleham, Victoria.
All medium risk nursery stock and seed lines must be imported through a DAWE Approved Arrangement. A list of these Approved Arrangements, and further information on PEPQ, can be found on the DAWE website.
Material entering Western Australia
Our facility is able to handle material entering Western Australia from eastern Australia where periods of post-entry quarantine are a requirement of entry.
Scheduling consignments for PEPQ
It is important to contact our facility ahead of your planned import to discuss capacity, capability and cost. Please complete the acceptance form with as much detail as possible (Form 001 Acceptance of material into PEQ) and then contact us on the numbers below.
