Indigenous landholders
The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia’s Indigenous Landholder Service (ILS) provides support to Indigenous landholders to achieve greater economic, environmental and social benefits for their communities. More than 70 properties, representing an area in excess of 5.5 million hectares access the service across the State. From small scale agricultural properties to large pastoral leaseholds in the Kimberley, the ILS adapts its service to meet the needs of these landholders. The service offers specialist technical expertise, training and skills development, governance issues support and mentoring and access to relevant information.
