My role in the department

Kim joined the department's Insect and Disease Management team in 2021. Her work has focused on insect pest management in the Ord River Irrigation Area. This has involved the trapping and monitoring of 6 lepidopteran species across the area. Kim has worked on projects involving Fall Army Worm Spodoptera frugiperda which includes Fall Army Worm state-wide monitoring, Host plant assay, Seed treatment trial and Pheromone trial.

Kim is currently involved in the American Serpentine Leafminer Parasitoid Project which aims at collecting Leafminer specimens, leaf mines and parasitoids from a variety of agricultural crops and weed species found across Kununurra, Carnarvon and Broome.
