Mr Antulov is a developer within the Systems Modelling branch in DPIRD’s Farming Systems Innovation Directorate.

Matthew works on a project to create a new whole-farm model that can ingest farm management records and generate thousands of possible outcomes using Monté Carlo simulations. The model can account for seasonal variability in weather and commodity prices and provides various management options for the farm along with the possible economic impacts of each option.

Currently the model being developed uses the iLime model as its basis to generate whole-farm liming strategy options.

These models are used to provide farmers and primary producers with decision tools that assist them in making economically viable decisions for both the short and long-term future.
