The 2024 season has been difficult for many throughout Western Australia with variable rainfall impacting on production and profitability.

This prediction is based on output from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development's (DPIRD) blackleg sporacle model.

The DPIRD blackleg forecast model predicts the dates of spore maturation on canola stubble. Spore showers will commence soon after the spores are mature in the fruiting bodies.
