My background

I have worked at DPIRD for over 20 years. I started work in pasture production, assisting in seed production at Perth research sites and in remote northwest locations. I moved into the sheep breeding and genetics unit which involved work based at Bruce Rock, Mount Barker and Katanning.

I have spent the last ten years in Senior Technical Officer roles based at the Katanning Research Support Unit. I managed support services for grains projects for DPIRD and external clients throughout the Great Southern as well as supporting ongoing sheep research.

Before recently moving to Merredin I was site manager at the Mount Barker Research Station where I was responsible for planning and coordinating sheep husbandry, paddock management and research activities. With a key role also being to supervise and train staff.
