The risks of transporting cattle in late-stage pregnancy

It is important that female cattle have their pregnancy status checked by a competent stock person or vet before being transported.

There is significant risk of harming the cows and unborn calves when transporting them in late-stage pregnancy. This is also an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2002.
