Investment

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is the lead government agency for investment attraction and facilitation for agribusiness and food in Western Australia.

Western Australia’s agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries, food and beverage industries are well positioned in a safe, clean and pristine location with thousands of kilometres of land and coastline ripe for investment or development.

Our state offers a diverse and skilled industry in the primary, fisheries, value add and agritech industries that meets strict biosecurity and global consumer demands for healthy, clean, sustainable and ethically-grown produce.

Investment and capital is needed to support the expansion and growth of agriculture food businesses to meet the rising demand for premium, safe, nutritious and traceable food and beverages.
This will ensure Western Australia achieves the goal of being the lead producer of primary products and premium value-added products.

With an extensive agriculture base, diverse climate and vast natural resources, we produce a wide range of high quality, sustainable products for domestic consumption, value adding, trade and export, including the potentially high-value emerging pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and hemp products.

Investors and developers are encouraged to contact the Investment team for detailed advice and guidance on opportunities in Western Australia.
