Dr
Hammad Khan
Research Scientist, Cereal Physiology
Portrait of man

My role in the department

Hammad is a Research Scientist (Cereal Physiology) whose research focuses on improving the crop productivity and profitability of cereals (mainly barley) grown in Western Australia.

His research provides critical information to barley growers on crop management and he also works with pre-breeders to improve the crop productivity. To best assist the WA grains industry to be internationally competitive, Hammad is improving the grains R&D capacity on crop physiology, agronomy, and phenotyping and also developing scientific collaboration nationally/internationally. Hammad is also associated with Western Crop Genetics Alliance.
