More Sheep was a partnership initiative between the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) and the Sheep Industry Leadership Council (SILC) to address the critical issue of the decline in the Western Australian flock.

This work is now being undertaken through the Sheep Industry Business Innovation project, funded by Royalties for Regions.

The More Sheep Initiative was an industry-wide approach to secure the future of the Western Australian (WA) sheep industry. Working with Western Australian producers, the program set out to assist them to increase the productivity and profitability of their flocks through farm management programs, delivery of timely tactical messages and More Sheep workshops including the 100%+ Club.

Much of this important work is currently being undertaken within the Sheep Industry Business Innovation project, working with industry to build capacity to supply new markets for sheepmeat and live exports, particularly in nearby Asia and the Middle East – generating flow-on benefits to producers, industry, the regions, communities and the state economy.
