This Sheep Industry Business Innovation (SIBI) subproject aimed to build industry capacity, both human and physical, to deliver the volume and quality of sheep and meat required by new markets. It did this by increasing business skills of producers and service providers to the sheep industry.

The Grower Group Research and Development (R&D) Grants Program awarded $6.7 million to 16 grower groups across Western Australia in its inaugural round.

Dedicated value chains was a Sheep Industry Business Innovation (SIBI) subproject which consisted of four key tasks: value chain design, sheepmeat product development, placement of staff and scholarships, and web portal development.
